Winile Happiness Mbala exemplifies dedication and expertise in the security sector, rising from humble beginnings to become a prominent leader in the industry. Born and raised in a rondavel in the rural areas of Umzimkhulu, KwaZulu-Natal, Winile's journey reflects her resilience, determination, and commitment to excellence.

With a distinguished career spanning over a decade, Winile began her professional journey with the South African Police Service (SAPS), serving with distinction for nine years. Her extensive experience in law enforcement laid a solid foundation for her subsequent roles in security management.

As the Security Manager at Sasol National Key Point (Natcos) in Durban, she was instrumental in overseeing and implementing robust security measures at one of South Africa's critical infrastructure sites.

Winile is also a passionate advocate for women's empowerment in the security sector. She is the Founding Director and Chairperson of the Women in Security South Africa Association (WISSAA), where she works tirelessly to support and advance the interests of women in the industry.
